So many distractions. Are you focused on meeting Jesus? There is a lot of talk about Him lately, with the conditions seeming to disintegrate before our very eyes. Oh, it’s easy to deny. “Just a phase, things will get better.” What if they do not? Are you focused? It is best to be. Not only is He coming back, but every thing He said about the condition of our world is true. Closing our eyes does not change it. Best to focus.
“fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2 NASB)
Let joy be set before our eyes!
Jesus was focused on our salvation. That was His joy. “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” (John 12:24 NASB) His apostles and disciples declared Jesus, His cross, His tomb, His resurrection and promised return. Today men declare His soon return. In this world full of distractions wasting time and energy comes easy, but it comes at a loss. Pay attention and focus your lens in the direction of beauty, Jesus.
