Proclaim!

“From that time Jesus began to preach (proclaim) and say, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.'” (has come near) (Matthew 4:17 NASB)

Some are louder than others. Some are direct and some are not. Jesus did the right thing, He spoke the truth and raised His voice only with good reason. Truth alone can stir the heart. Often there is silence, or a feeble attempt at speaking the truth to those who don’t know our Father. Holy Spirit, grant us boldness to clearly speak from the heart that we now share.

The world is dying. Man is killing it and God will soon put it out of its misery. He said it will happen by fire. So many with so little concern. It was that way then, and it’s that way now. Did Noah weep, or had he had enough of those he left behind? Jonah could not care less. Jesus wept over Jerusalem. Is that why we are silent, we don’t want to weep over the lost? If we don’t bring the subject up neither will they, and it will soon be forgotten. Father, help us care enough to be truthful with those who have not received Jesus.

We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, we also are in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.” (1 John 4:16-18 NASB)

“As He is, we also are in this world.” Don’t be a Jonah!
