If not for God’s grace
We have gifts and talents according to the grace GIVEN to us. God’s gifts are like talents to be used glorifying the Giver. Each of us are part of the workings of God. We were created to serve Christ according to the grace given. Nothing to boast about. And certainly not something to use for vain glory. We all wind up at the feet of God.
- “However, since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them properly: if prophecy, in proportion to one’s faith;” (Romans 12:6 NASB
- “According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each person must be careful how he builds on it.” (1 Corinthians 3:10 NASB)
So, we are to do what we were created to do, according to the grace given to each of us. Sounds simple, but it’s not. Self has a mind of its own.
