Three CAUTIONS for 2022

With the Lord’s Spirit we are free and are being transformed into Christ’s likeness.

“but whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. But we all, with unveiled faces, looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:16-18 NASB)

CAUTION! Lots of false brothers and sisters who want us to follow a bunch of their rules.

“Yet it was a concern because of the false brothers secretly brought in, who had sneaked in to spy on our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, in order to enslave us.” (Galatians 2:4 NASB)

CAUTION! The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Temptations

“For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh but serve one another through love.” (Galatians 5:13 NASB)

The benefits of knowing and following God’s perfect Law of Freedom.

“But one who has looked intently at the perfect law, the law of freedom, and has continued in it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an active doer, this person will be blessed in what he does.” (James 1:25 NASB)

Choosing God’s holy purpose for freedom.

“For such is the will of God, that by doing right you silence the ignorance of foolish people. Act as free people, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil but use it as bondservants of God. Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.” (1 Peter 2:15:17NASB)

CAUTION!!! Pulpit slaves to sin are the worst kind. They excuse themselves and justify the hearer’s sin.

“For, while speaking out arrogant words of no value they entice by fleshly desires, by indecent behavior, those who barely escape from the ones who live in error, promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what anyone is overcome, by this he is enslaved. For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.” (2 Peter 2:18-20 NASB)

Jesus set us free from the bondage of sin. We are free to choose to do God’s will. His Spirit will show us the way to walk in 2022 AD, the year of our Lord.
