Cain and Abel led the way for the rest of mankind to follow. One obeyed the other did not. Things got so bad there were only a few of those I call “us” who got on the Ark. The rest of “them” disappeared. There is now a bunch of them and few of us. God knows who’s who. If your one of us you will walk in the light, and the rest of them will drop out of sight, preferring darkness.
“Therefore, do not become partners with them; for you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), as you try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Do not participate in the useless deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. For this reason it says,
‘Awake, sleeper,
And arise from the dead,
And Christ will shine on you.'” (Ephesians 5:7-14 NASB)
Wake up and live, tells us to them, learn what pleases the Lord. If you’re thinking you’re one of us, be certain you can’t be one of them. The reason I’m so certain? The light of Christ will shine on you, and all of us become light.
