If you Believe, or will Believe
Before you were you, God chose you to be made holy and obedient to His Son Jesus. The only reason I can think of for God choosing me is that I needed lots and lots of grace. More than most. Thirty-three years old before His Spirit set out to do His work in me. Three weeks later I carved this confession to hang on my wall. Forty-four years have passed, this truth now is displayed in our garage/shop. Seeing it, reminds me of the man who cried to be forgiven and loved. There have been lots of changes made possible by God’s correction and forgiveness through the years. His love and faithfulness have never turned me away.
Now I am carving words on the internet that travel around the world. Each day, hoping that truth will help someone in some way. That’s all I have and all I need, faith in Jesus to save those who believe.
“Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,
To those who reside as strangers, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, who are chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you.” (1 Peter 1:1-2 NASB)
I wonder who God is talking to today? Whoever it is, may grace and peace be yours.
