Why Lack?

The young lions do without and suffer hunger; But they who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing.” (Psalm 34:10 NASB)

So many are in need of good things, and it’s not the fault of God that they lack. Perhaps there needs to be more seeking. God is not hard to find, unless you hate the truth.

The Shephard is seeking the lost, and His Father is seeking those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. The Father Is Spirit, and Jesus is Truth. We cannot worship God any other way. It’s sad to see so many lacking good things.

Sadder still are those who should know better. They have heard, but do not practice truth revealing a lack of wisdom. There is a solution. “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.” (James 1:5-6 NASB)

James has another simple truth explaining lack in the life of a person who believes in Jesus. “…You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask with the wrong motives, so that you may spend what you request on your pleasures. (James 4:2-3 NASB)

I will leave the reader with one of my favorite Scripture verses. “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6 NASB)

God proves Himself to those who believe.
