“It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore, keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1 NASB)
Jesus freed our souls from sin and death. No longer compelled or bound by chains. We have freedom to choose, His blood to cleanse us when we make bad choices and His Spirit to show us God’s way. Just like Adam, we now are free to choose. So, stand firm in faith in Christ who lives.
God’s ways can be difficult to understand. We died with Christ on a cross long ago, and now our life is hidden in Him. Only in Him do we live. Jesus lives forever and Believers do too. That’s simple enough for me to understand. We are free from the fear of death, learning to take every thought and suggestion captive through the obedience of faith. (2 Corinthians 10:5) Believers are Learners. As stated, God’s ways can be difficult to understand, we’re human. And He knows and loves us just the same.
Freedom from fear and failure are to be held in the grip of faith. So, what do you do with this freedom? You know what I do with mine. I write.
“For who is our hope, or joy or crown of pride, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming? Or is it not indeed you? For you are our glory and joy.” (1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 NASB)
