More powerful than devils

At first, I did not think I was ready for Jesus’ return. So much pride and sin within, and I did not understand God’s gift of grace. There was no problem understanding God’s Law, it condemned me all the time until I realized I needed help. Jesus. This captive needed to be set free. Free from THIS and THAT, remember Mary Magdalen? Jesus set her free from seven devils. Imagine seven devils influencing your thought life and compelling your behavior. Mary’s will power was no match for God’s enemies. She couldn’t change on her own, even if she wanted to be a better person. Mary was forgiven, and Jesus spoke, “Go and sin no more.” Just like in the beginning, “Let there be light!” and there was light.

That’s how powerful Jesus, the Son of God is. Ask Him and believe when you can’t help yourself. Repentance and faith in Jesus, to forgive and cleanse frees us from all unrighteous thoughts and deeds. That took me forever to learn. Countless failures revealed God’s patience, His love, His forgiveness and my acceptance. I’m ready for Christ’s return, He saved me and set me free.

Who can discern his errors? Acquit me of hidden faults.
Also keep Your servant back from presumptuous sins;
Let them not rule over me;
Then I will be innocent,
And I will be blameless of great wrongdoing.
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.”
(Psalm 19:12-14 NASB)
