for knowing God.
“Beloved let’s love one another; for love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love.” (1 John 4:7-8 NASB)
There is no way around, it is through the gate. Jesus is the only way if you’re hoping to go to Paradise. It was Jesus who decided that the thief on the cross was going to that good place. Jesus decides. Not a good idea to disrespect the Son of God like that other thief did. Words expose the heart. Jesus came with the Father’s love. Received or rejected, I’m sure God knows. I know a man who needed assurance because he was slow to understand. So, he prayed this prayer apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesians,
“that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner self, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled to all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:16-19 NASB)
This man prayed to be rooted and grounded in God’s love. He needed to be certain of the love of Christ for his sins were many. So, this prayer was prayed a lot. Christ showed him the Father. God is love, sacrificial love, and His Son is mocked, blasphemed with lies and rejected. Things are not going to end pleasantly, but for now, God calls men to choose His love, or they will hate Christ’s light that exposes their sin.
Those who love will have a new beginning. Thank God for His love, and worship Him in spirit and in truth.
