Another gift of grace
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9 NASB)
The granter of life knows the end from the beginning and will judge the dead. To know Him is far beyond our comprehension. We stand in need and this gift of grace is needed to know Him. God grants to all who believe in His Son the mind of Christ. Jesus knows the Father. He came down from His Fathers presence to tell us about Him. “For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:16 NASB)
“For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Now may the God of perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another, according to Christ Jesus, so that with one purpose and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 15:4-6 NASB)
If we have not the mind of Christ it is because self is glorified instead of the Father. Our fruit will be bitter instead of sweet. Jesus said this to His Father. “The glory which You have given Me I also have given to them, so that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and You loved them, just as You loved Me.” (John 17:22-23 NASB)
Receive the glory of sonship. Its gift has purpose, the perfection of children. God’s holy family, having the mind of Christ, is being perfected in unity. So that the lost will know that God sent His Son, and that they are loved as He loved Jesus. Wow! That’s how much God loves the lost. That is the mind of Christ, don’t be a chicken, with it let us glorify our Father.
