Jesus Speaking

What Jesus reveals is very important. Don’t mess with it! Add nothing nor take anything away. I fear for all those who interpret and teach the book of Revelation by changing the clear meaning of words to support their theologies. Revelation begins by explaining how to be blessed and ends by warning us of a curse. Very important information.

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John, who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, everything that he saw. Blessed is the one who reads, and those who hear the words of the prophecy and keep the things which are written in it; for the time is near.” (Revelation 1:1-3 NASB)

“I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book. He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.” (Revelation 22:18-21 NASB)

I have heard the excuse, “The last verses mean no more than a historical copyright.” It was common for pagans to engrave curses to be brought to places of worship. Curses for those who stole from them. Do you really think Jesus would speak words in vain? No! Jesus means what He says.

Perhaps it is time for soul searching and repentance if necessary. What Jesus reveals is very important.
