Conscience

Romans 14 instructs the believer in the workings of conscience. A special day or all days the same. Good to eat or best abstain. As we grow in grace, from faith to faith, what is allowed or rejected will be according to our conscience before God.

As believers in Jesus, our convictions can rise in judgement over a brother or sister whose convictions are different than our own. I have memorized this reminder. “Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.” (Romans 14:4 NASB)

We, the saints of God, are growing in grace. Wisdom and understanding reveal freedom and responsibility. “The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is the one who does not condemn himself in what he approves.” (Romans 14:22-23 NASB)

The hard work is done, now I can watch it grow.
