The Lord’s decision (Zephaniah 3:8-10 NASB)
A word to the children of Israel, given by God to Zephaniah. Gentiles get to hear what God said.
“Therefore, wait for Me,” declares the Lord,
“For the day when I rise up as a witness.
Indeed, My decision is to gather nations,
To assemble kingdoms,
To pour out on them My indignation,
All My burning anger;
For all the earth will be devoured
By the fire of My zeal.
For then I will restore to the peoples pure lips,
So that all of them may call on the name of the Lord,
To serve Him shoulder to shoulder.
From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia
My worshipers, My dispersed ones,
Will bring My offerings”
There’s more. It thrills me to see God’s faithfulness. The divorced and dispersed house of Israel (the Lost Tribes) will once again be joined to the house of Judah. Ephriam’s Birthright and Judah’s Septer belong to the Son of God who will rule from the throne of David in God’s holy city, Jerusalem. All Israel will worship Jesus. And as a restored people will serve Him as one nation, according to the promise of land granted to Abraham. Notice who does the restoring!
God will keep His promise to born again Gentiles. I’m excited. Are you waiting too??
