Big Mistake

Life can be better for those who would listen to God’s wisdom. Sadly, most don’t. So, drama and chaos rule their lives to varying degrees. Frustration leads to resignation and hopeless to depression, all because of human pride.

“Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living person.” (Genesis 2:7 NASB)
By the sweat of your face, you shall eat bread, Until you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return.”
(Genesis 3:9 NASB)

That dear reader is reality, it is only a matter of time. In the meantime, Jesus is calling the humble and hurting, “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”(Matthew 11:28 NASB) God’s words are wisdom for seekers. Listen to how wisdom describes herself and what she has for those who love her.

“I, wisdom, dwell with prudence,
And I find knowledge and discretion.
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil;
Pride, arrogance, the evil way,
And the perverted mouth, I hate.” (Proverbs 8:12-13 NASB)

I love those who love me;
And those who diligently seek me will find me.
Riches and honor are with me,
Enduring wealth and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, even pure gold;
And my yield better than choice silver.
I walk in the way of righteousness,
In the midst of the paths of justice,
To endow those who love me with wealth,
That I may fill their treasuries” (Proverbs 8:17-21 NASB)

Life is better for those who listen.
