Prophetic

Word for today

It is good to hear the positive things God says He will do for His people.

God knows the end from the beginning

“Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of Israel says: ‘Like these good figs, so I will regard as good the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans. (Israel’s chosen returned to the land after 70 years of Babylonian captivity fulfills part of this prophecy, but not all.) For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land; and I will build them up and not overthrow them, and I will plant them and not uproot them. I will also give them a heart to know Me, for I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me wholeheartedly.” (Jeremiah 24;4-7 NASB)

Wholeheartedly

“And I will give them one heart and put a new spirit within them. And I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, so that they may walk in My statutes, and keep My ordinances and do them. Then they will be My people, and I shall be their God.” (Ezekiel 11:19-20)

New Covenant

“For this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord: “I will put My law within them and write it on their heart; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” (Jerimiah 31:33 NASB)

“For I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the lands; and I will bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statutes and are careful and follow My ordinances. And you will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God.” (Ezekiel 36:24-28 NASB)

Same Covenant for Christians

“And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, ‘This cup, which is poured out for you, is the new covenant in My blood.'” (Luke 22 20 NASB)

Fact-check “they will”

Gentile Believers share in the New Covenant promises given to Israel. God’s will? To create a holy people, “one new man.” The “they will”, in these verses, apply to all who call upon the name of the Lord Jesus.
