“I will raise my eyes to the mountains;
From where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2 NASB)
A lifetime, that is how long it will take. Wither you’re the thief of the cross or Samuel called as a child, it takes a lifetime to fulfill God’s purpose. Our days were written in God’s book before we were born. The call was His and His alone to make. Like Abraham, we heard Him call us to life. We heard His message from His Son and saw the condition of our soul. We did not run and hide but stayed to practice truth.
In time we learn reliance. It was easy for the thief on the cross, what else could he do? A dying man was given hope of living once again. A first, Samuel could not believe God was speaking to him. This child’s life was dedicated to God before he was born. It’s easy to see that God is in charge but depending on our circumstances not so easy trusting that He is. In time we learn to trust the One “Who made heaven and earth.”
Some adjustment on the tunnel and a little paint the chicken coup project will be finished. I did what I knew to do, and a neighbor helped me complete the job, our egg-investment’s new home. All thanks to God who is with me in every situation. It is good to have learned reliance, trusting that God’s covenant is with you.
