Truth is True

“On the day I called, You answered me;
You made me bold with strength in my soul.”
(Psalm 138:3 NASB)

That’s how it all started for me long ago. A broken vessel cried out to the Lord. He answered me. It takes time and crying out before the hard broken pieces were pliable again. The fear of God served its purpose driving me away from many of my old ways. Thirty-three years of practicing the ways of the world needed some serious change motivation. Time passed and I wanted to please, (love not fear) but in some ways still failed in bondage over and over until Jesus strengthened my soul. I called for help, and He answered me.

And not just once, but many times over. That’s how I know that truth is true. I’m certain of stuff that pertains to both you and me. Important stuff like love and life. Moreso when it’s God’ love and eternal life. Better than sin and death. So much better than the judgement of a consuming fire. That’s why I write. I want every Christian reader to be carefully paying attention to what they are building, and I am praying that Jesus is your sure foundation and not church or pope.

“For no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, each one’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each one’s work. If anyone’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet only so as through fire.” (1 Corinthians 3:11-15 NASB)

On the days that I have called out the Father has answered me. Amazingly our Creator first called out to us by drawing us to His Son. Blessed is to respond; our loss if we don’t.
