Those Who are Left

“Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of armies, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths. And it will be that whichever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of armies, there will be no rain on them. And if the family of Egypt does not go up or enter, then no rain will fall on them; it will be the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths. This will be the punishment (sin) of Egypt, and the punishment (sin) of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.” (Zachariah 14:16-19 NASB)

There will be survivors after God defeats the nations. Can you imagine not knowing salvation and going through the seven years of Jacobs troubles? Some will, and they will celebrate their physical salvation by worshiping Jesus their King and Lord in Jerusalem every year. Imagine what that first Feast of Booths will be like for those who did survive. To see Jesus in His glory, the One who destroyed your people, yet let you live. Truely, they will worship God.

Scripture tells me these survivors are still not saved and subject to death. (Isaiah 65:20) And apparently subject to disobedience and disrespect. Neither will go unchecked, the unsaved will be disciplined, they will learn God means what He says. It’s good to understand that truth now.

The Prophecy “And she gave birth to a Son, a male, who is going to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her Child was caught up to God and to His throne.” (Revelation 12:5 NASB)

The Fulfillment “From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.” (Revelation 19:15 NASB)

The Faithful “The one who overcomes, and the one who keeps My deeds until the end, I will give him authority over the nations; and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of the potter are shattered, as I also have received authority from My Father; and I will give him the morning star.” (Revelation 2:26-28 NASB)

Holy Scripture recorded the past, guides the present and opens a window into the future. Do not count on being a survivor, better to repent and believe the good news now.
