No excuses. Cannot claim ignorance, that would be admission of neglect. A servant neglecting their Lord…. Yikes! No one wants to be guilty of that. We are talking God’s talk now. Babes grow with milk. Are we drinking the word of God? When we do we grow. But when God is not important it shows. God knows. He’s patient and kind wishing that all come to repentance. Branches are living when attached to the tree. Living in Him!
“Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.” (Colossians 2:6-7 NASB)
Established in the faith. And how does faith come? “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.” (Romans 10:17 NASB) Some would tell you that Christ’s words in the 4 gospels were only for the Jews. All His “holy life instruction concerning the Kingdom of God” does not apply to you. “No rules, only grace” whenever challenged about personal behavior. That dear reader is saving faith as through fire, God will keep His word, but mustard seeds are meant to grow.
“It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and threw into his own garden; and it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the sky nested in its branches.” (Luke 13:19 NASB) Drink deeply from Christ’s words, He means every one of them. Never get tired of changing your mind when Jesus tells you the truth.
