Rain

“Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was still confined in the courtyard of the guard, saying, ‘This is what the Lord says, He who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to create it, He whose name is the Lord: ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’” (Jeremiah 33:1-3 NASB)

Excited to see the rain today as the ground needed a universal watering after weeks of heat. Except for a day or two, these last few weeks, I have spot watered the gardens by directly watering the flowers, fruits and vegetables to keep them alive and growing. They would not have survived. God does the same for the faithful. Showers of blessing keep us alive and growing. Weeds have adapted by spreading all over, but the time is coming for them to be gathered and burned.

There is nothing worse than being able to see those who display evil and call it good. Excuses come easy, if needed at all. Bold and blatant, they are hard to miss. Those near, by blood or distance, are the easiest to see and grieve and pray that they see. To be consumed by fire is too high a price to pay for the pleasures of mortal flesh and the idolatry of self. Nothing worse to see.

God spoke to Jeremiah a long time ago; He told him things he did not know. God’s words are like water for our soul. Can you hear Him when He says, “Call to Me and I will answer you.”? It rained today and I’m watering in my own way.
