King David’s prophecies in the Psalms are treasures revealing the intimate relationship between Jesus and His Father. We seem to be getting closer, their voices are becoming clearer. In some mysterious way the Spirit of God in David is revealing the depth of trust the Son of God has for His Father, and Lord. Lord? Yes.
“He said to them, ‘Then how does David in the Spirit call Him ‘Lord,’ saying, ‘The Lord said to my Lord,
‘Sit at My right hand,
Until I put Your enemies under Your fee'”? (Matthew 22:43-44 NASB, Psalm 110:1)
Listen to David as he blesses his Lord, then hear our Lord bless His Lord and Father by sharing His secrets with us.
“I will bless the Lord who has advised me;
Indeed, my mind (inner man) instructs me in the night.
I have set the Lord continually before me;
Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Therefore, my heart is glad and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will dwell securely.
For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol;
You will not allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.
You will make known to me the way of life.
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.” (Psalm 16:7-11 NASB)
