Where’s Your Focus?

Autumn is not quite here, and I am planning next spring’s garden. Each year there are lessons learned, what works and what did not. Finally learned that I cannot grow everything. Fruits and vegetables have different requirements starting with the soil and I am not willing to devote the time necessary to learn what is best for all edibles. So, I will focus on past successes and concentrate on improving the care of a few favorites.

That’s life. Live and learn. We cannot have everything. Time, and interests determine our choices. Billionaires do not have everything. Priorities consume their life leaving no room for God. Power and fame come at the same high cost. The sacrifice of the soul for temporary gain is the shortsighted choice of the fool.

“Behold, the man who would not make God his refuge,

But trusted in the abundance of his riches

And was strong in his destruction.” (Psalm 52:7)
