“Protect, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you.” (2 Timothy 1:14 NASB)
The treasure we have been entrusted with, the treasure the Holy Spirit will help us protect, is the seed, the word of God. Satan will try to snatch it away with doubts of our salvation. Protect the seed with faith in the One who planted His word in your heart. New is thrilling but understanding takes time and disappointments. Be on your guard, for deceitful are the distractions that would fill our heart. Our job, protecting the seed God planted, is done through the Holy Spirit reminding us of these things, and that God has entrusted us with truth. We are meant to bear fruit.
