Strong Words
Planning more terracing once the garden is finished for the season. Photos will help remind me what was planted and where. With the passing of time reminders are needed and the best are found in the word of God. “Commit your works to the Lord, And your plans will be established.” (Proverbs 16:3 NASB)
I love the word “works.” Many professors run from this word thinking God’s “grace” will shield them from personal responsibility. The disciple’s faith encourages obedience to the commands of Christ. The work of the Spirit in the life of Jesus’ disciples instructs them in God’s ways, and His ways are good works.
“Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.” (1 Timothy 6:18-19)
