is the gospel of the kingdom of heaven.
It is the gospel Jesus preached, taught, suffered and died for, as God willed. The gospel of salvation, for those who believe. God’s good news, and if you have repented then now is the time to believe.
“Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” (Mark 1:14-15 NASB)
“Jesus was going about in all of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.” (Matthew 4:23 NASB)
“Now when Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the (hill) mountain; and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him. And He opened His mouth and began to teach them, saying, ‘Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.'” (Matthew 5:1-3 NASB)
The humble receive God’s gift of grace, salvation, by believing Jesus who preached the gospel of the kingdom. They believe God. Since I began, a few posts back, preaching the gospel Jesus preached, nearly all interest has ceased. Perhaps my readers have heard it all before. That’s ok, but I will continue because I do not want anyone to be undressed for the occasion. It’s a white-robed dinner for God’s Son.
“But when the king came in to look over the dinner guests, he saw a man there who was not dressed in wedding clothes, and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ And the man was speechless. Then the king said to the servants, ‘tie his hands and feet, and throw him into the outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth in that place.’ For many are called, but few are chosen.” (Matthew 22:11-14)
“After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all the tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.'” (Revelation 7:9-10 NASB)
“I said to him, ‘My lord, you know.’ And he said to me, ‘These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:14 NASB, 1 John 1:9)
The photo is of the place I prayed, the best I could, for many years. I cried at times and was comforted. At other times I thought to give God permission, God made me laugh. A wonderful place, part of my story called “Moving Along”.
