Focusing on God’s kingdom

And His righteousness.

Instead of worrying about life’s necessities we are free to focus somewhere else. There is never enough when our focus is on the world, satisfaction comes from God. So, we seek Him in His kingdom.

“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Matthew 6:33-34 NASB)

Jesus is explaining the way things work to whoever would believe. God will provide for our needs, but first we must continually be seeking His kingdom and His righteousness. No need to borrow troubles from tomorrow, the evil of today is sufficient. Addictions enslave, and wars destroy as hate divides nations. And with all of this evil, some saints judge the blind and have little mercy for those who have only begun to see.

“Do not judge, so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.” (Matthew 7:1-2 NASB) It’s good to know God’s will explained by Jesus in ways that are easy to understand.
