Cannot Say This Enough

Forget the foolishness,

and focus on the event. the birth of Christ. God gave us the most precious gift of all, the Spirit of His Son who wants to please His Father. I don’t know about you, but for me that make a big difference. I once was in dread of the Law, or should I say its consequences? Break one, same as breaking them all. Dirt shows up on a white robe. How about you? Have you struggled to please God? No matter how hard I tried to please Him by being obedient, the Law, at some point, revealed my failure. I must have gone to God’s well of forgiveness a zillion times before I understood His most precious gift of grace.

“Because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba! Father!” Therefore, you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through the gracious act of God.” (Galatian 4:6-7)

God was pleased to love me; it took me many times of failure before I realized how much? Before I understood God’s grace. God sends the Spirit of His Son into every son and daughter. Every one! The same Son who fulfilled God’s Law lives in all of God’s children. I cannot say this enough. This is what it means to receive Jesus. God the Father gives us this gift when we did not turn Jesus away.

I pray that most Christians know this, “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:27) I’m writing because I know that Satan would keep us in slavery through the Law. God’s gift to His children is the Spirit of His Son who freely wants to please His Father. Hmm… does that explains our sometimes conflicts? That my brothers and sisters is the work of His Spirit in us who leads us into holiness. Sometimes very remorsefully. Best to agree! (1 John 1:9)
