“And you know the way where I am going.”
“Thomas said to Him, ‘Lord, we do not know where You are going; how do we know the way?’ Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.'” (John 14:4-6 NASB)
Important that we know. Jesus knew where He was going, He was going to His Father. I imagine that’s where you want to go, I do not think you would not be reading this otherwise. To be safe and secure forever and always with God who gave you birth. Thomas did not know where Jesus was going, only that he wanted to be with Him. “How do we know the way?”
Is our focus on the Word of God? He is the way. When we hear His voice are we following? We are if we do not come to a stop. I’ve fallen many times in many ways, but like apostle Paul I can say, “Not that I have already grasped it all or have already become perfect, but I press on if I may also take hold of that for which I was even taken hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:12-14 NASB)
Jesus is truth, sadly, many are deceived, they follow the broad way.
“So, let’s learn, let’s press on to know the Lord. His appearance is as sure as the dawn; And He will come to us like the rain, As the spring rain waters the earth.” (Hosea 6:3 NASB)
