Hear God’s word as the Holy Spirit reads to you.
Take Jesus at His word! He means what He says. The One whose “testimony is the spirit of prophecy,” well, everything He said will come true.
“So, Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, ‘If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’
They answered Him, ‘We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been enslaved to anyone; how is it that You say, ‘You will become free’?
Jesus answered them, ‘Truly, truly I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin. Now the slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. So, if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.” (John 8:31-36 NASB)
When we continue in Jesus’ word, we will know the truth that sets us free from our bondage to sin. So, continue, press on and be a son abiding in God’s house forever. Listen as I tell you something that took me way too long to learn.
We cannot free ourselves, but Jesus will when we turn to Him with our plea. Jesus will show us the power of our faith in Him. Ever felt like Superman, then discover that you’re NOT? Thank God for Jesus.
