Projects

The last of this winter’s projects

Just about done. Septic tank to be pumped with easier access (risers) installed. No need for digging five years from now when the tank will need to be pumped again. That’s a good thing, no digging, especially if it’s me. I will be 83. Long before Spring weather finds me in the garden, I will be done with stuff like this. And we will be “Good to Go” (If you get what I mean) for quite a long time. Who knows what a day will bring? The best we can do is to be good to go to meet Christ in the air.

In the meantime, I garden and write about life in Christ. It’s my life in Christ that I know best. He has shown me my thoughts and ways. I prefer His. But it took convincing. Now I know it is to my good to believe. And I pray that my faith encourages your own in some way. Lately, I have been passing along truths that have helped me to see in the Spirit.

“Brothers and sisters, even if a person is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you are not tempted as well.” (Galatians 6:1 NASB)

Spiritual Warfare

Caught. Captive through week flesh tempted by the Tempter. Sounds like spiritual warfare to me. Gentile restoration is the work of the Spirit and self-reflection. Witness Jesus with those caught in sin.

“He will not quarrel, nor cry out.
Nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.
A bent reed He will not break off,
And a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish,
Until He leads justice to victory.
And in His name the Gentiles will hope.”
(Matthew 12:19-21 NASB, Isaiah 42:1-4)
