The Message

“John to the seven churches that are in Asia:

Grace to you and peace from Him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.

To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood— and He made us into a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (Revelation 1:4-6 NASB)

It is good to pay attention to details.

They create the picture God wants us to see. Grace and peace, from God, who is Spirit and seven other Spirits with honored positions and Jesus Christ our Lord, the One who loves us, and with the power of His blood releases us from sin to be subjects in His kingdom. “Priests to His God and Father.” This is who we are made to be, and the picture God wants us to see so that we will glorify His Son who will reign “forever and ever.”

Well, I hope we all do more and more glorifying as each day passes. Jesus, who has the power to release us from sin, will one day release bound angels upon mankind. “saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, ‘Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.’ And the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released, so that they would kill a third of mankind. The number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them.” (Revelation 9:14-16 NASB)

Hear the good news! That has not happened yet. Now here is a word of caution, it appears that the spirits behind ancient false gods have been released in the world. England brazenly worshiped Baal, Western entertainment worships demons and devils, Idols are erected, and the statues of men are torn down. Mankind’s history is headed toward its end. It has to be. Never before has God been so mocked.

Here’s some more good news.

There is still time for the priests to pray for the lost and the struggling. And it is always the right time for subjects to obey their King.
