What if??
Often come thoughts about baptism. The baptism of John, the baptism of Jesus, the baptism of those who would be baptized by Jesus, according to John and the baptism of Christ’s apostles. With all of the different teachings about baptism in the body of Christ, 40+ years later I’m taking the time to ascertain what I have come to believe.
Prayer, Scripture and faith. Ask, seek and knock. From time to time perhaps I will have something to post, or maybe not until I’m done.
Confessed their sins.
“and they were being baptized by him in the Jordan River, as they confessed their sins.” (Matthew 3:6 NASB)
With the Holy Spirit and fire.
“As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” (Matthew 3:11 NASB)
I’m frequently reminded that knowledge means nothing without love. It is Christ’s love for you that I share what’s true. Jesus has given me a wonderful purpose, declaring the gospel of the kingdom. Leaving you with two verses to imagine how one might appear as a video. And the other manifest as the Holy Spirit and fire.
