Trials & Temptations

“The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold,
But the Lord tests hearts.”
(Proverbs 17:3 NASB)

God’s word spoken to His chosen people, will one day be fulfilled. The majority will perish, the remnant will be tested, refined and sovereignly saved as through fire.

“And it will come about in all the land,”
Declares the Lord,
“That two parts in it will be cut off and perish;
But the third will be left in it.
And I will bring the third part through the fire,
Refine them as silver is refined,
And test them as gold is tested.
They will call on My name,
And I will answer them;
I will say, ‘They are My people,’
And they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.'”
(Zacheriah 13:8-9 NASB)

I don’t want to imagine what they will experience. Millions perish, as of late 2021 (Rosh Hashanah year 5782), there were approximately 15.2 million Jews worldwide (and rising), and Satan will be after the rest. Plenty of reasons to bring them to their knees calling upon Yeshua Ha Mashiach, my Jesus. Until then, the Lord continues to test the hearts of His children so, “in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18 NASB)

“In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which perishes though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” (1 Peter 1:6-9 NASB)

That’s what I’m talking about, the salvation of your souls.
