GOD TELLS IT LIKE IT IS.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Consider His thoughts and ways.
For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
And do not return there without watering the earth
And making it produce and sprout,
And providing seed to the sower and bread to the eater.
Consider the power of His Word.
So will My word be which goes out of My mouth.
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:8-11 NASB)
Every word God sent for us to hear will accomplish His purpose. We are saved through faith in His Word (Ephesians 2:8) or condemned in our unbelief (John 3:18). To receive God’s Word is to be loved as His child, (John 1:12) disciplined (Hebrews 12:6) and sanctified, made holy (Acts 20:32) if you will. To add or take away from God’s Revelation is to be cursed. (Revelation 22:18-19) To reject the Word is to reject life itself. (John 6:63)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of mankind. And the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not (overpower) grasp it.” (John 1:1-5 NASB)
