Listen to Your Heart!

Here’s some Good News; God’s Spirit speaks to our heart with truth. Truth so amazingly beautiful it takes a while for truth to sink in, or maybe our eyes are distracted, and our ears overwhelmed by noise. So many battles not ours to fight; yet God’s enemy would trouble our mind. It’s best to let our heart speak words of assurance and peace.

“But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek (Gentiles); for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:8-13 NASB)

Listen to your heart. God’s Spirit is writing on hearts, and when believed the truth results in our righteousness and our salvation. We cannot hear and believe God’s word and remain the same. His word is how God creates. Confess and believe! Some powerful stuff for all who obey.

Many hear the gospel, but foolishly defend their own ideas when God’s message makes His claims. They refuse to believe. Hiding behind human morality, that exalts itself above God’s holiness, is their foolishness on display. I fear for those who have heard the word of God often enough to quote scripture but refuse to confess and believe that Jesus is the only way to the Father.

“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 NASB)
