“In relation to the gospel they are enemies on your account, but in relation to God’s choice they are beloved on account of the fathers; for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For just as you once were disobedient to God, but now have been shown mercy because of their disobedience, so these also now have been disobedient, that because of the mercy shown to you they also may now be shown mercy. For God has shut up all in disobedience, so that He may show mercy to all.” (Romans 11:28-32 NASB)
When God speaks, He is expressing His will, it is and will be done. Best not to fight against it. That’s foolishness. “He has told you, mortal one, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8 NASB) History shouts “Israel failed to meet God’s requirements!” And to this day peace has not been their portion. Why not? Disobedience. Yet, peace will be the very thing Satan will offer Israel.
The saved lived disobediently before becoming receivers of God’s mercy. Mercy He will soon be revealed to disobedient Israel fulfilling God’s expressed will, His words spoken to Abraham. God creates this living story with twists and turns over thousands of years, “Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, ‘My plan will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure’”; (Isaiah 46:10 NASB)
Speaking to the Gentiles
The book of life contains the names of every Gentile to be saved. This number is known to God, just as the number of hairs on your head is known to Him. (Matthew 10:30) Before mercy is revealed to Israel the last Gentile must be saved. Who will it be? Your friend or neighbor, family or loved one? Or maybe you think, “No problem, there is plenty of room for more.” Today is the day of salvation.
“For I do not want you, brothers and sisters, to be uninformed of this mystery—so that you will not be wise in your own estimation—that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written:
“The Deliverer will come from Zion,
He will remove ungodliness from Jacob.”
“This is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.” (Romans 11:25-27 NASB, Isaiah 59:20,21; 27:9 ; Jer. 31:33,34)
