Sovereign is the Lord

Sovereign and Powerful.

With wisdom unmatched is the Lord God Almighty, the creator and sustainer of all. His word now spreads like fire from nation to tribe and tongue thanks to His saints and the use of the internet. It appears He wants every one to hear about His Son.

There is no better time than the present to listen and hear what God would say. He truly doesn’t want any to perish. Remember? He is sovereign, He makes the rules and no one tells Him what is fair. His wisdom directs His ways. His love for man was why He sent His Son, to save them from their ways.

Well, Adam’s ways really. We inherited a mess. The knowledge of good and evil didn’t quite work out as hoped.  Man’s nature was changed. Where once he only knew good he now knew evil. Not one of us can say, “I do not know evil.” Man stands condemned, every one, if not for the grace of God. He sent His Son to pay our price. “The wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23)

Merciful and Just is the Sovereign Lord.

His mercy is extended to all who would believe that Jesus died in their place. And not just that, but that He rose again to be their living Lord. Their sovereign king whose will they obey while awaiting His return.

Will it not be just to reject those who have rejected Him? What excuse can there be when preferring to disbelieve? There is no fooling God who knows our deepest thoughts.  When His mercy is rejected it is for the sake of evil.

Sovereign Judgement.

“And this is the judgement: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light, least his works should be exposed.

But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.” (John 3:19-21)

Good or evil, light or darkness, life or death, the god of this world or the God of creation. It is plain for God to see how man chooses. His judgement will be just. In the mean time the Gospel spreads like fire.
