Should we remind Him?

Abraham has been waiting

Should we remind God that Abraham has been waiting, considering God’s perception of time. “Before the mountains were born Or You gave birth to the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it passes by, Or as a watch in the night.” (Psalm 90:2,4 NASB)

I know He does not forget dates, His calendar was created when He gave authority to the sun and the moon. Events and seasons had spiritual significance, and the appointed days were set by God. I know God keeps tract of His set times, But is it possible He has been waiting for us to remind Him that He is needed. Besides, Abraham is not the only one whose waiting.

Sadness and Joy

I thought about a lot of sad things this morning. Yes, I know God is in control, and that His plan will unfold, as sovereignly determined long ago. But that does not mean I can avoid being sad. There are more reasons to be sad every day. Thank God for Jesus’ joy, in beholding our salvation, when He hung on that cross. (Hebrews 12:2) Salvation is the reason for our joy no matter how sad this life appears. In the mean time lets tell Him He’s needed. Abraham is waiting and so are we.

“Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, (including Abraham) and we will be changed.” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52 NASB)
