Today’s Christmas present
is something I hope you already have.
God Almighty has a plan for His chosen people that awaits fulfillment. He spoke to them in different ways throughout their history, even face to face. The blood of faith saved a people in bondage, they belong to Him. Besides, God’s angel made promises to Mary that have yet to be.
“The angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.”
(Luke 1:30-33NASB)
Thank God that Abram (Abraham) received the promises by faith. God spoke (grace) He heard and obeyed. Saved by faith.
“Abraham said, ‘God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.’ So the two of them walked on together.” (Genesis 22:8NASB)
We have the benefit of looking back and seeing that God did provide the Lamb. God Almighty keeps His word. Our faith, like Abraham’s, came when we heard God’s word, the gospel of our salvation. The part I really like is …. JESUS IS COMING BACK.
“I have sworn by Myself, The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance.” (Isaiah 45:23NASB)
