“Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.“ (1 Peter 1:13 NASB) Today I was angry. The kind of anger that prepares you for action. My action is to write. My eyes are opened, I can see situations that are compelling reasons to write. God has NOT said, “Paul, you’re a prophet.” No! I’m just a man that loves the word of God, and I can see that it is all coming true.
Soon every eye will see. Glory for some, for others fearful dread. Jesus will reveal Himself. I pray you listen and watch out for the enemies of God. You’ll know them by their fruit, not their appearance. Fancy gowns and hats are often their disguise, degrees and certificates hang on their walls. It is a sign and a wonder that so many follow. “for false christs and false prophets will arise, and will provide signs and wonders, in order to mislead, if possible, the elect.” (Mark 13:22 NASB)
False christs have sent their disciples to gather the deceived. Africa, Asia, India, Europe and even Israel; many will come claiming to be the Messiah. Hundreds, if not thousands of foolish prophets make much of themselves as they lead others astray. I fear that many have not prepared their mind for action.
God’s Word, which is Spirit, prepares our mind. It’s important that we take the word of God seriously, that’s what “sober” means. When our hope is placed in God’s grace, that will one day be revealed, our hope has been placed in Christ. Then there is nothing to fear.
“Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.” (Revelation 1:7 NASB)
